Ireland Announces Squad for T20I Series Against Pakistan
DUBLIN: Cricket Ireland has revealed its 14-member squad for the upcoming T20I series against Pakistan. The three matches are set to commence on August 6 and will be held at Clontarf Cricket Club.
The squad sees the return of Freya Sargent, a bowling all-rounder, following her recovery from an injury. The rest of the team remains unchanged from the one that achieved a 3-0 victory in home conditions recently.
Ireland will be led by Gaby Lewis, with Orla Prendergast serving as her deputy. Lara McBride, an off-spinner, has retained her position in the squad after a notable performance in the recent series against Zimbabwe.
In a statement, Cricket Ireland noted that Freya Sargent is back in the squad after recovering from an injury, and Lara McBride maintains her place after an impressive debut series against Zimbabwe.
The three-match series is scheduled to take place at The Clontarf Cricket Club on August 6, 8, and 10.
