Inam Butt Gears Up for International Beach Wrestling Events
Pakistani wrestler Muhammad Inam Butt is preparing to represent his nation at two prominent international beach wrestling competitions in Europe later this year. The accomplished athlete is scheduled to participate in the 2025 World Beach Wrestling Series, taking place in Poreč, Croatia, from May 28 to June 1.
Inam will compete in the -90kg weight division and will be supported by his coach, Muhammad Bilal, who will be joining him from Greece.
This global event is set to showcase elite wrestlers from across the globe, with Azerbaijan entering as the current title holders.
The 36-year-old wrestler has a history of achievement at this level, having previously secured gold medals at the Beach Wrestling World Series in 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2021. Given his impressive background, expectations are elevated for another strong showing this year.

“I will be competing in the minus 90kg weight category,” Inam stated. “I have been diligently preparing for both competitions and am optimistic about achieving positive outcomes.”
In anticipation of the international challenge, the Pakistan Wrestling Federation conducted an intensive month-long training camp in Gujranwala. Inam has been training rigorously at the camp to attain optimal condition for the approaching competitions.
Following his appearance in Croatia, Inam will proceed to Italy to participate in the International Beach Wrestling Tournament, slated for June 7 to 9, 2025. He will once again represent the nation, with the goal of securing additional accolades for Pakistan.
It is worth noting that Inam has an illustrious wrestling career, having claimed eight gold, three silver, and one bronze medal across various championships, including the Commonwealth Games, World Beach Championships, World Beach Games, Asian Beach Games, and South Asian Games.
