ICC Announces Venues for Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025

The International Cricket Council (ICC) revealed the schedule and locations for the Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025. Pakistan is slated to play all its matches in Sri Lanka.

The 13th edition of this tournament will be held from September 30 to November 2 across five venues located in India and Sri Lanka.

The venues under consideration for the eight-team competition are the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, ACA Stadium in Guwahati, Holkar Stadium in Indore, ACA-VDCA Stadium in Visakhapatnam, and R. Premdasa Stadium in Colombo.

Pakistan will participate in all group-stage games in Sri Lanka, aligning with the ‘fusion formula’ previously established for the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025. According to this agreement, the two rival nations will not host each other for ICC events over the next three years. Instead, they will play their matches at a neutral venue.

Consequently, the first semi-final will occur either in Guwahati or Colombo on October 29, contingent upon Pakistan’s qualification. The second semi-final will take place in Bengaluru on October 30.

The final of the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 is scheduled for November 2 in Bengaluru. Should Pakistan qualify for the final, it will instead be contested in Colombo.

The participating teams include co-hosts India and Sri Lanka, along with Australia, England, New Zealand, South Africa, Bangladesh, and Pakistan.

Australia enters the competition as the defending champions, having defeated England in the final of the previous edition in 2022. Australia is also the most successful team in the history of the tournament, with seven titles.
