ICC Updates Women’s ODI Rankings: Fatima Sana Climbs
The International Cricket Council (ICC) unveiled its updated ODI rankings for women cricketers on Tuesday. Fatima Sana has shown progress in the bowling category. However, other Pakistani players are still outside the top ten in batting, bowling, and all-rounder categories.
Batting Rankings
Sidra Amin, known for her consistency, is the highest-ranked Pakistani batter at 21st position. Following her are Aliya Riaz at 29th and Muneeba Ali at 31st, signaling a need for more impactful performances in recent matches.
Top Batters Globally
- Laura Wolvaardt of South Africa holds the top position.
- India’s Smriti Mandhana and England’s Natalie Sciver-Brunt are in second and third place, respectively.
- England’s Amy Jones advanced to seventh place, entering the top 10, while Sri Lanka’s Chamari Athapaththu dropped to eighth.
Bowling Rankings
Pakistan lacks representation at the top. Fatima Sana improved one position to 27th. Nashra Sandhu remains the highest-ranked Pakistani bowler at 13th due to her consistent efforts. Sadia Iqbal, currently the top T20I bowler, is ranked 17th in ODIs. England’s Sophie Ecclestone leads the bowling rankings, followed by Australia’s Ash Gardner and Megan Schutt.

- West Indies’ Hayley Matthews has also risen to seventh place.
All-Rounder Rankings
Nida Dar and Fatima are at 16th and 17th positions, respectively. Gardner continues to lead as the top all-rounder, followed by Matthews and South Africa’s Marizanne Kapp.
