Azam, who formerly occupied the second position, has now descended to third with a rating of 751 points. India’s ODI captain, Rohit Sharma, has surpassed him and currently holds the second spot. Meanwhile, fellow Indian cricketer Shubman Gill maintains his lead in the rankings as the world’s leading ODI batter.
Among other Pakistani players, ODI captain Mohammad Rizwan has also slipped one place, moving from 21st to 22nd with 602 points. Opening batsman Fakhar Zaman, who was absent from the West Indies ODIs due to an injury, has dropped four places to 27th with 590 points.
Imam-ul-Haq and Agha Salman have also witnessed a decrease in their rankings, falling to 37th and 41st place, respectively. Saim Ayub experienced the most significant drop among Pakistan’s batsmen, declining nine places to 46th.
