Ministry Launches Hajj Helpline for Pilgrims

The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has introduced a dedicated helpline to offer Hajj pilgrims current details regarding their flight schedules. This initiative was undertaken on the instruction of minister Sardar Muhammad Yousaf.

According to Muhammad Umar Butt, the ministry’s spokesperson, pilgrims can contact the helpline at 051-9216980 to receive up-to-date information and assistance concerning their Hajj travel plans.

The helpline, overseen by Director IT Jameel-ur-Rehman, will operate continuously in two shifts to guarantee constant support, he noted.

He stated that Hafiz Majid will be the helpline in-charge during the first shift and can be reached at +92-332-4509868. Additionally, Assistant Director Malik Asad will manage the second shift and can be contacted at +92-321-5365023, he added.

Butt also advised pilgrims to maintain communication with their respective Haji camps for enhanced coordination.

On April 26, the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony verified the completion of all preparations for the Hajj operation in 2024. The initial flight under the government’s program took off on April 29, with the final flight scheduled for May 31.

A total of 342 flights are designated to transport pilgrims from Pakistan, with 89,000 individuals expected to journey to Madina and Makkah, the ministry announced in a statement.

The Hajj flight operation will last for 33 days, with the majority of pilgrims being flown to Madina during the first two weeks.
