Gold Prices Surge to New Heights in Pakistan
Gold prices in Pakistan have experienced a significant surge, mirroring gains observed in the global market. The price of 1 tola of gold reached a record high of Rs363,700 in the local market, marking a substantial single-day increase of Rs5,900 on Tuesday.
According to data provided by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 10-gram gold also rose to Rs311,814, reflecting an increase of Rs5,059.
On the preceding day, Monday, the gold price per tola had already climbed by Rs8,100, reaching a then all-time high of Rs357,800.
The international gold rate also reached a new record peak on Tuesday. APGJSA reported the rate at $3,454 per ounce (including a $20 premium), representing a $59 increase within the day.
Conversely, the price of silver remained stable at Rs3,441 per tola.
