Gold Prices Reach Historic High in Pakistan
Gold prices in Pakistan continued their upward trend on Thursday, establishing a new all-time high. The price of gold per tola in the local market increased by Rs2,000, reaching Rs350,000 for the first time ever.
Similarly, the price of 10-gram gold reached Rs300,068, marking an increase of Rs1,715, according to data from the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
On Wednesday, gold prices had already surged to a then-record high of Rs348,000, after experiencing a significant single-day increase of Rs8,600.
The international gold rate also saw an increase on Thursday. According to APGJSA, the rate stood at $3,329 per ounce (including a premium of $20), reflecting a $19 increase during the day.
In contrast, the price of silver experienced a decrease of Rs59, settling at Rs3,401 per tola.
