Gold Prices Reach New Historic High in Pakistan

The upward trend in gold prices persisted on Thursday, establishing a new all-time high in Pakistan. In the local market, the price of gold per tola rose by Rs2,000, reaching Rs350,000 for the first time ever.

According to data from the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 10-gram gold increased by Rs1,715 to trade at Rs300,068.

On Wednesday, gold values had already surged to a then-record level of Rs348,000, representing a significant single-day increase of Rs8,600.

The international gold rate also saw gains on Thursday. The APGJSA reported the rate at $3,329 per ounce (including a $20 premium), marking a $19 increase during the day.

Concurrently, the price of silver experienced an increase of Rs59, settling at Rs3,401 per tola.
