PCB Issues NOCs to Seven Cricketers for Franchise Leagues

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has issued No Objection Certificates (NOCs) to seven national cricketers, including Mohammad Amir and Imad Wasim, enabling them to participate in various franchise leagues.

Amir and Imad, who reversed their international retirements last December, have been consistently involved in T20 franchise leagues globally.

The pair are scheduled to play together for the Northern Superchargers in the current season of The Hundred, having become the first Pakistani players to secure contracts for this year’s edition.

They were selected as replacement players after Australian fast bowler Ben Dwarshuis was sidelined for the entire season due to international commitments, while New Zealand’s Mitchell Santner will miss two games for the same reason.

Consequently, the PCB has approved NOCs for both players for The Hundred, effective from August 7 to 10. Amir has also received clearance to participate in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) from August 15 to September 22.

In addition to Amir, Naseem Shah and Iftikhar Ahmed have also been granted NOCs for the CPL. Naseem’s NOC is valid from August 15 to September 22, while Iftikhar is permitted to participate from August 14 to September 21.

All-rounders Faheem Ashraf and Khushdil Shah, who are set to participate in this year’s Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), have also received NOCs, valid from December 1 to January 15, 2026.

Meanwhile, left-handed opener Sharjeel Khan, whose last international appearance for Pakistan was in 2021, has been granted an NOC from August 15 to 25 to take part in the Top End T20 Series in Australia.
