Hasan Ali Left Out of T20I Series Against Bangladesh

Pakistani fast bowler Hasan Ali has been omitted from the national team for the forthcoming three-match T20I series against Bangladesh, scheduled to commence on July 20 at the Shere-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka.

Information indicates that Hasan’s exclusion is not permanent, as he is presently participating in the County Championship in England.

The right-arm bowler is currently playing for Warwickshire in the ongoing men’s Vitality Blast 2025 and has demonstrated impressive form, holding the position of third-highest wicket-taker in the tournament with 19 wickets in eight matches, maintaining an economy rate of 8.68.

The 31-year-old made a notable comeback to the national setup during the recent home T20I series against Bangladesh, emerging as Pakistan’s leading wicket-taker with eight wickets secured across three matches, including a five-wicket haul, with an economy rate of 9.53.

Sources further suggest that selectors may consider him for the white-ball series against the West Indies, which is planned for August.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) revealed a 15-member squad for the approaching T20I series on Monday, with Salman Ali Agha continuing as captain.

Vice-captain Shadab Khan and fast bowler Haris Rauf will be absent due to injuries.

Shadab recently underwent a successful shoulder operation in the UK, addressing a persistent issue with his right shoulder.

Rauf’s absence is attributed to a Grade 1 hamstring injury sustained during the San Francisco Unicorns’ recent victory against the Texas Super Kings in the ongoing 2025 Major League Cricket (MLC).

Salman Mirza, an emerging pacer who impressed with Lahore Qalandars during PSL Season 9, has earned his first national call-up.

The Pakistan team is slated to arrive in Bangladesh on July 16. The T20I series will begin on July 20, followed by the second and third games on July 22 and 24, respectively.

The two teams last competed in May of this year, where Pakistan secured a 3-0 victory on their home ground.
