FBR Intensifies Tax Collection Efforts to Meet 2024-25 Targets

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has instructed its Inland Revenue divisions to bolster enforcement activities, including pursuing collections from taxpayers, to achieve the set tax revenue objectives for the fiscal year 2024-25.

The FBR issued directives to its various departments on Tuesday regarding the collection of taxes and duties for the fiscal year 2025.

According to the FBR’s guidelines, proactive enforcement measures are essential to meet the fiscal year 2024-25 targets. Consequently, all Large Taxpayer Offices (LTOs), Medium Tax Offices (MTOs), Corporate Tax Offices (CTOs), and Regional Tax Offices (RTOs) will maintain extended working hours on Saturday, May 31, 2025, until 8:00 pm, the FBR stated.
