Etihad Airways to Expand Fleet Significantly by 2030

Etihad Airways, based in Abu Dhabi, intends to incorporate between 20 and 22 new aircraft into its operations this year, according to CEO Antonoaldo Neves. This expansion is part of a larger strategy to increase its fleet to exceed 170 aircraft by the year 2030.

Neves, speaking at the Arabian Travel Market event held in Dubai, also stated that potential delays in deliveries would not impede Etihad’s capacity to meet its objectives for 2030.

Owned by ADQ, Abu Dhabi’s wealth fund valued at $225 billion, Etihad aims to serve more than 125 airports by 2030. This initiative aligns with the emirate’s broader economic diversification efforts to establish itself as a prominent global travel center.
