PCDMA Appeals for Sales Tax Return Deadline Extension

The Pakistan Chemicals & Dyes Merchants Association (PCDMA) has formally requested the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to postpone the deadline for submitting sales tax returns until May 31, 2025.

In a formal communication to the FBR chairman, Salim Vali Muhammad, the Chairman of PCDMA, emphasized that recent updates to the IRIS portal have triggered several technical complications. These issues have effectively prevented taxpayers from adhering to the existing deadline, despite their efforts.

He clarified that calculation discrepancies within the newly integrated Annex H1 and Annex J have hindered the majority of taxpayers from successfully filing their sales tax returns for March 2025.

The Chairman of PCDMA has urged the FBR Chairman to grant an extension until the necessary rectifications are implemented within the IRIS portal. He also called for the resolution of these technical impediments, ensuring a seamless filing process for taxpayers.
