Meeting on Sugar Availability and Pricing Chaired by Deputy Prime Minister
ISLAMABAD: Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, serving as both Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, presided over a committee meeting on Monday to assess the availability and pricing of sugar across the nation.
The committee undertook a comprehensive review of the current sugar supply in the market. They evaluated existing stock levels and scrutinized prevailing market price patterns.
Dar emphasized the government’s dedication to ensuring stable pricing, maintaining sufficient reserves of vital commodities, and safeguarding the interests of consumers nationwide.
The meeting saw participation from the Minister for National Food Security and Research (MNFSR), SAPM Tariq Bajwa, along with secretaries representing MNFSR, Commerce, Industries, and Production. Senior officials from various federal and provincial departments also attended.
