CCoSOEs Approves NESPAK Board Reconstitution
ISLAMABAD: The Cabinet Committee on State Owned Enterprises (CCoSOEs) has given its nod to the revised composition of the Board of Directors at National Engineering Services Pakistan (NESPAK).
The committee convened on Thursday, presided over by the Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, Muhammad Aurangzeb.
The session addressed a singular item: the restructuring of NESPAK’s Board of Directors. Following the Board Nomination Committee’s recommendation, which adhered to the State-Owned Enterprises (Governance and Operations) Act, 2023, the committee sanctioned a panel of individuals. This panel includes Javaid Aslam, Muhammad Ali, Pir Saad Ahsanuddin, Omar Hassan, and Shahana Ahmad Ali, selected for their demonstrated expertise and pertinent professional backgrounds.
Furthermore, the Committee emphasized the necessity for promptness and coordination among relevant departments and agencies in the nomination selection and review processes for State-Owned Enterprises’ Boards of Directors. This emphasis aims to mitigate unnecessary delays, considering the critical nature and urgency of these appointments.
The assembly saw the participation of Federal Minister for Housing and Works Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada, Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan, Federal Minister for Science and Technology Khalid Hussain Magsi, Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Muhammad Junaid Anwar Chaudhry, alongside federal secretaries, and high-ranking officials from associated ministries, departments, and regulatory bodies.
