Attendees of these matches can anticipate Shaheen-themed merchandise and an energetic environment that mirrors the enthusiasm of Pakistani cricket enthusiasts.

This initiative is part of Brisbane Heat’s broader strategy to connect Australian communities with international talent within the BBL.

In addition to Afridi, fans will have the opportunity to witness other South Asian stars participating in both the WBBL and BBL this summer, including Babar Azam, Ravichandran Ashwin, Haris Rauf, Jemimah Rodrigues, Hasan Ali, and Shadab Khan.

The upcoming 15th edition of the BBL will consist of 44 matches, scheduled in an early-evening time slot from December 14, 2025, to January 25, 2026.

The tournament is slated to commence with a high-profile match between the Perth Scorchers and the Sydney Sixers at Perth Stadium.

This opening match is expected to generate significant interest, with Pakistan’s star batter Babar Azam playing for the Sixers, marking his inaugural BBL appearance.

Notably, Shaheen Afridi was initially selected by Brisbane Heat as the premier overseas and platinum pick for the approaching season.

Mohammad Rizwan has signed with the Melbourne Renegades, while Haris Rauf has been retained by the Melbourne Stars.

Hassan Khan will also rejoin the Renegades, and Shadab Khan has signed with Sydney Thunder.

Hasan Ali has been acquired by the Adelaide Strikers.
