Bangladesh ‘A’ Squad Announced for Top End T20 Series 2025
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has revealed the 15-member Bangladesh ‘A’ team for the Top End T20 Series 2025, scheduled to take place in Darwin, Australia, from August 14 to 24. Their first match will be against Pakistan Shaheens on August 14.
Leadership and Team Composition
Quazi Nurul Hasan Sohan, an accomplished wicketkeeper-batsman with experience in 11 Tests, 7 ODIs, and 46 T20Is for Bangladesh, will lead the team as captain. The squad combines both young talents and seasoned players with international and first-class backgrounds.
Opening Match and Key Players
Bangladesh ‘A’ will begin their campaign on August 14 against Pakistan Shaheens at TIO Stadium in Darwin. Right-arm fast bowler Hasan Mahmud, who has played 12 Tests, 24 ODIs, and 26 T20Is, is anticipated to spearhead the bowling attack.
Travel Plans and Subsequent Matches
The team’s departure for Australia is set for August 7, with their arrival at the tournament venue scheduled for August 9. Following their initial match, Bangladesh will compete against Nepal on August 16, and then face the Perth Scorchers, a BBL franchise, on August 17.
Previous Performance
In the Top End T20 Series 2024, Bangladesh ‘A’ advanced to the final but were defeated by Adelaide Strikers by 32 runs. They were bowled out for 137 while attempting to chase a target of 170.
