Wolf Pups Recovered in Balochistan Operation

QUETTA: In an operation in Zhob’s Kakar Khorasan region, the Balochistan Forest and Wildlife Department has successfully recovered five wolf pups, according to Chief Conservator of Wildlife Sharifuddin Baloch on Friday.

The operation also involved the participation of Levies and police personnel, the chief conservator noted.

Sharifuddin mentioned that the rescued wolves belong to the “grey wolf” species. He cautioned that the grey wolf population in Balochistan is at risk of disappearing.

“The grey wolf is a unique species, and its presence in the province is scarce,” he highlighted.

The wildlife official added that the wolf pups, following appropriate care and rehabilitation, will be reintroduced into their native environment.
