Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti has mandated stringent measures against government employees and officers found participating in activities deemed anti-state. In a recent high-level meeting, he instructed divisional and deputy commissioners to identify and take action against such officials, underscoring that no government employee should undermine state policies. Violators will face appropriate consequences.
Law and Order Priorities
During the session, officials provided comprehensive updates on the province’s law and order situation and service delivery. The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of maintaining security and upholding state authority, stating that road blockades would not be tolerated. He assigned district officers the responsibility of ensuring law enforcement within their jurisdictions.
Addressing Corruption in Law Enforcement
Highlighting concerns about corruption within law enforcement agencies, Bugti declared that extortion at security checkpoints is unacceptable. Officers found engaging in such practices will be promptly removed from their positions. He stressed that personal opinions must not override state policies and urged officers to either comply with government directives or resign voluntarily.
Educational Directives and Youth Engagement
The Chief Minister issued orders to ensure the national anthem is sung and the Pakistani flag is hoisted in all educational institutions. Heads of institutions failing to implement these practices have been advised to resign. Bugti also emphasized the need to engage Baloch youth in constructive activities, noting that involving them in unnecessary conflicts is unproductive. With the youth policy already approved, local officers are directed to promote educational and employment opportunities to strengthen the youth’s connection with the state.
Government’s Firm Stance
Reaffirming the government’s commitment, Bugti stated that the administration remains resolute against elements challenging state authority. He emphasized that adherence to official policies is a fundamental duty of all public servants.
