Turkmenistan’s Ambassador Discusses Enhanced Collaboration with Pakistan’s Finance Minister

ISLAMABAD: The Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Pakistan, Atadjan Movlamov, engaged in discussions with Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, the Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, at the Finance Division on Monday, according to a released statement.

During their meeting, both parties deliberated on matters of shared interest, with a particular emphasis on bolstering bilateral trade, commerce, and investment opportunities between the two nations.

Senator Aurangzeb affirmed Pakistan’s strong dedication to strengthening its ties with Turkmenistan, highlighting the significant ministerial exchanges that have occurred over the past year.

Ambassador Movlamov underscored Turkmenistan’s deep respect for its alliance with Pakistan, recognizing it as a crucial partner for trade and investment, as well as an essential transit point for both bilateral and transnational commerce. The talks also investigated possibilities for joint ventures and collaboration, notably within the energy, transport, and construction sectors.

Representing Mammetguly Astanagulov, the Minister of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan, Ambassador Movlamov formally invited Senator Aurangzeb to attend the Turkmenistan Investment Forum. This event is scheduled for mid-September in Ashgabat, coinciding with the celebrations marking the 34th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s Independence.
