Pakistani snooker players are making waves on the international stage. Muhammad Asif, Hasnain Akhtar, and Ahsan Ramzan each clinched impressive victories in their opening matches at the World 6-Red Snooker Championship held in Manama, Bahrain, this Saturday.

The Pakistani trio showcased exceptional skill in this fast-paced format, triumphing over their global competitors without conceding a single frame.

Asif’s Flawless Victory

Seasoned player Muhammad Asif delivered an outstanding performance against Ireland’s J. Chopra, securing a 4-0 win. Asif demonstrated total command throughout the contest, with frame scores of 66-0, 75-0, 54-8, and 48-15.

Akhtar’s Commanding Performance

Up-and-comer Hasnain Akhtar mirrored this success with an equally dominant 4-0 victory over Egypt’s Mohamed Abdel Qader. Hasnain’s frame scores—70-0, 45-11, 57-7, and 48-2—highlighted his control and composure at the table.

Ramzan’s Winning Streak Continues

Ahsan Ramzan continued the winning momentum by defeating Oman’s Sami Al-Hamrashdi with a convincing 4-0 score. Ramzan’s frame victories were recorded as 60-1, 39-16, 48-9, and 50-11.

Ramzan’s Under-21 Success

Earlier in the competition, Ramzan also shone in the Under-21 category, where he overcame Bahrain’s Mahmood Ahmed 3-0 during the group stage. His scores in that match were 59-2, 82-6, and 74-6, reinforcing his reputation as a promising young snooker talent on the global circuit.

Asif’s World Masters Title

Recently, Muhammad Asif added another achievement to his career, narrowly defeating India’s Brijesh Damani 4-3 to secure the IBSF World Masters Snooker Championship, hosted at the Crowne Plaza Bahrain.

Akhtar Claims U17 Title

In another significant accomplishment, Hasnain Akhtar secured the IBSF World U17 Championship title by overpowering Poland’s Riley Powell 4-0 in the final. Akhtar conceded only one frame throughout the entire tournament and dominated the final with impressive frame scores of 86-7, 73-35, 50-32, and 98-4.

With this triumph, Hasnain makes history as the first Pakistani to win the IBSF World Championship in the U17 division.
