Islamabad, Pakistan – July 2025:
Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Finance and Revenue, Haroon Akhtar Khan, conducted a significant meeting with the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce & Industry and leading export associations, reaffirming the government’s commitment to a stable and predictable policy framework to enhance industrial productivity and export growth.

During the discussion, SAPM Haroon Akhtar emphasized the importance of policy continuity and private sector collaboration for economic progress. He noted that Sialkot’s export-driven industries have played a pivotal role in Pakistan’s foreign exchange earnings, and the government aims to remove bureaucratic hurdles, reduce policy uncertainty, and improve business facilitation.

He assured stakeholders that feedback from exporters will be incorporated into future fiscal planning and tax policies. “We are focused on creating an ecosystem where industry can thrive without disruption,” Haroon Akhtar stated.

The Sialkot Chamber appreciated the federal government’s proactive engagement and shared suggestions to improve customs clearance, access to finance, and logistics infrastructure. Exporters also highlighted the need for competitive energy tariffs and R&D incentives.

This meeting marks a strategic effort by the government to strengthen public-private dialogue, encourage export-led growth, and transform Pakistan into a more competitive global trading partner.
