Zarrar Hasham Khan brings over 20 years of experience in the telecommunications and IT sectors, both locally and internationally. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute (1999) and has pursued advanced studies at prestigious institutions, including Harvard Business School, Oxford University, and London Business School. In 2020, he earned an MBA from the University of Warwick, UK.

Throughout his career, Khan has held significant leadership roles:

  • Chief Technology Officer at STC-Kuwait: He led one of the largest global 5G deployments in 2019.
  • Group Chief Business Solutions Officer at PTCL: He was responsible for developing and delivering the entire ICT portfolio for B2B and B2G customers, managing local and international connectivity for voice and data, and overseeing PTCL’s investments in international submarine infrastructure.
  • Federal Secretary of IT and Telecommunications: Appointed in September 2024, Khan became the first private-sector professional to hold this position in Pakistan, reflecting a significant shift in the federal government’s approach to key appointments.
