Pakistan Strengthens Position in Global Homeopathy Market

Pakistan’s homeopathic medicine industry has seen remarkable growth over the past five years, exporting nearly 1,700 metric tons of products to 26 countries. This surge has generated more than $5.2 million in revenue, highlighting the rising global demand for natural and alternative healthcare solutions.

Sudan, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan emerged as the largest importers, receiving 275MT, 159MT, and 158MT respectively. Other nations such as the United States, UAE, China, and the UK also imported significant volumes, reflecting Pakistan’s expanding reach in international markets.

Yearly exports have shown steady progress, peaking at 778MT in 2024-25. This growth underscores the country’s increasing production capacity and its emphasis on promoting alternative medicine as a safe and effective healthcare option.

Despite these achievements, Pakistan continues to import larger volumes of homeopathic medicines from countries like Germany, France, and Switzerland. Experts believe this gap presents opportunities for local manufacturers to scale up production and reduce dependency on foreign suppliers.

Homeopathic medicines are valued for being safe, gentle, and non-invasive treatments suitable for all age groups. They address physical, emotional, and mental health needs, making them a versatile choice in global healthcare.

The export boom is not only boosting foreign exchange earnings but also creating jobs in manufacturing, research, logistics, and marketing. This upward trend strengthens Pakistan’s position in the alternative healthcare market and opens doors for international collaborations, investments, and recognition of its expertise in homeopathy.
