During the Grand Ambassadors Dinner hosted by the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Mian Abuzar Shad outlined an ambitious vision for Pakistan to become an indispensable trade hub in the region Addressing ambassadors high commissioners and trade officials from over forty countries he emphasized Pakistan’s strategic geographical advantage as a natural link between South Asia Central Asia and the Middle East

Shad urged foreign investors to focus on immediately investible sectors including textiles garments with value addition agribusiness food processing information technology digital services pharmaceuticals and infrastructure development He argued that joint ventures and technology transfers could greatly enhance local capabilities and export competitiveness

The LCCI chief also called on international partners to participate in capacity building initiatives to strengthen human resources Pakistan is now prepared not only to contribute raw materials but to produce finished goods for global value chains with quality standards matching global norms

Ambassadors and senior diplomatic representatives from Europe Asia Africa and the Middle East were present at the event Turkmenistan’s Ambassador Atadjan Movlamov Dean of the Diplomatic Corps was chief guest and expressed optimism seeing Pakistan’s renewed trade diplomacy

President Shad’s address projected confidence that Pakistan’s investment climate is improving and that collaborative business models can unlock growth in manufacturing and export industries Such partnerships will have multiplier effects including job creation foreign exchange earnings and innovation

This message sought to reposition Pakistan on the global trade map as more than a supplier of raw goods but as a partner capable of producing finished goods delivering digital services and attracting foreign investment in high growth sectors.
