The National Highway Authority (NHA) has announced a significant increase in toll taxes for motorways and highways across Pakistan, with adjustments ranging from 15% to 50%, effective April 1, 2025. This marks the second toll hike within three months, following a previous increase on January 5.
Revised Toll Rates:
- Cars: Increased from Rs60 to Rs70.
- Vans and Jeeps: Raised from Rs100 to Rs150.
- Buses: Upped from Rs200 to Rs250.
- 2 & 3 Axle Trucks: Toll increased from Rs250 to Rs300.
- Articulated Trucks: Now charged Rs550, up from Rs500.
Specific Motorway Adjustments:
- M1 Islamabad-Peshawar Motorway: Car toll increased to Rs550.
- M3 Lahore-Abdul Hakeem Motorway: Fee raised from Rs700 to Rs800.
- M4 Pindi Bhattian-Faisalabad-Multan Motorway: Car toll now Rs1,050, up from Rs950.
- M5 Multan-Sukkur Motorway: Increased to Rs1,200 from Rs1,100.
- M14 Dera Ismail Khan-Hakla Motorway: Toll now Rs650, up from Rs600.
- E35 Hasan Abdal-Havelian-Mansehra Motorway: Fee increased to Rs300 from Rs250.
The NHA has not provided specific reasons for this latest increase. These adjustments are expected to impact commuters and transporters nationwide.
