The government of Pakistan has unveiled a landmark Rs38 billion Ramadan relief package designed to support more than 12 million deserving families across the country. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced the initiative during a ceremony in Islamabad, highlighting the government’s commitment to ensuring fairness and transparency in welfare distribution.

Under this package, each eligible family will receive an enhanced amount of Rs13,000. The relief program will cover families across all four provinces, as well as Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit‑Baltistan. Prime Minister Shehbaz emphasized that this package is not just about financial assistance but also about restoring dignity to citizens. Instead of waiting in lines for substandard goods, families will now have the freedom to use the funds according to their needs during the holy month of Ramadan.
