Big Bird Foods Partners with Alibaba Group for Global Expansion
Big Bird Foods Limited (BBFL), a Pakistani firm specializing in chicken processing, has formed a strategic alliance with Alibaba Group, a global technology conglomerate based in China.
BBFL communicated this development in a statement submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange earlier today.
According to the company’s notification, “This agreement will grant BBFL immediate access to Alibaba’s international B2B e-commerce platforms, notably Alibaba.com, enabling the company to present and distribute its poultry and processed food items to verified purchasers across more than 190 regions and countries.”
The corporation characterized the partnership as “an important landmark in BBFL’s global expansion plan.”
They also stated that it will offer prospects in the worldwide poultry market, which is predicted to surpass $350 billion per year and is continuously rising as a consequence of increasing demand for affordable protein in both established and developing countries.
Big Bird stated, “The arrangement is anticipated to increase BBFL’s export revenues, improve worldwide brand awareness, and promote long-term value creation for shareholders.”
BBFL was founded in September 2011 with the goal of becoming a poultry processing facility that provides high-quality chicken products to both domestic and foreign markets.
It was later transformed into a public limited company on June 1, 2023.
