The long-awaited verdict in the £190 million Al-Qadir Trust case against Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi, has been deferred for the third time by an accountability court in Rawalpindi. The case revolves around allegations of illegal financial gains from land deals linked to Al-Qadir University Trust. Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi failed to appear in court, prompting Judge Nasir Javed Rana to adjourn the case until January 17, 2025. The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had been investigating the former prime minister and his associates for misusing funds reportedly transferred from the UK’s National Crime Agency.

The case, initially filed in December 2019, involves accusations that Khan and his wife illicitly secured substantial land in the name of the trust, leading to significant financial loss. The verdict had been delayed previously in December and January, drawing attention to the ongoing legal proceedings
