The party has submitted a list of 14 representatives, comprising 10 members from the National Assembly and four senators, to attend the briefing.

The official list has been forwarded to National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq by former Chief Whip Aamir Dogar.

Consultation with Imran Khan:

Shibli Faraz emphasized the necessity of consulting PTI’s founding chairman, Imran Khan, before the meeting. He stated that any discussion on national security would be incomplete without Khan’s input, highlighting that PTI’s support was instrumental in the success of the National Action Plan. Faraz urged the National Assembly Speaker to facilitate this consultation, warning that excluding Khan could exacerbate political instability and undermine anti-terrorism efforts.

Internal Deliberations:

Within PTI, opinions varied regarding participation in the national security meeting. While central spokesperson Sheikh Waqas Akram confirmed attendance, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa President Junaid Akbar claimed the party had not been informed about the meeting.
