Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with Saudi Ambassador Nawaf bin Said Al-Maliki in Islamabad, underscoring Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to regional peace and international cooperation. During the dialogue, the Prime Minister emphasized Saudi Arabia’s pivotal diplomatic role in mediating conflicts across the Middle East and strengthening bilateral relations.

The Prime Minister highlighted Pakistan’s upcoming term as President of the UN Security Council in July, seeking Saudi support to promote global peace initiatives and address shared challenges effectively.

He also lauded Saudi leadership under King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for their efforts toward international stability. Ambassador Al-Maliki, in turn, praised Pakistan’s role in furthering regional security and reaffirmed the depth of collaboration between Islamabad and Riyadh.

This high-level meeting reinforced a shared vision aimed at enhancing peace and stability in South Asia and the Middle East, and paved the way for expanded diplomatic coordination, economic partnerships, and security cooperation.
