Cross-Border Cooperation Stops Major Drug Smuggling Attempt

Authorities in Pakistan and Qatar successfully foiled a major drug smuggling attempt at Islamabad International Airport, underscoring the importance of international cooperation in combating narcotics trafficking.

The joint operation, based on shared intelligence, led to the arrest of a Pakistani female passenger traveling from Sharjah via Doha. During a thorough search of her luggage, officials discovered 4.48 kilograms of cocaine concealed inside her trolley bag.

Investigators revealed that the woman was working under the direction of a handler present at the airport. Acting swiftly, the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) apprehended the handler along with his vehicle, preventing the drugs from reaching their intended destination.
