Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, has declared that Pakistan’s nuclear program is fully protected and beyond the reach of any external threat. Speaking in an exclusive interview with an international media outlet, he emphasized that the country’s nuclear capabilities are a symbol of Pakistan’s unwavering defense strength and a cornerstone of regional balance.

Lt Gen Sharif assured that no nation can dare to target Pakistan’s nuclear assets, describing them as “unassailable and foolproof.” He said Pakistan’s nuclear power reflects the nation’s confidence in its deterrence strategy and its contribution to maintaining peace in South Asia.

He strongly criticized India’s role in supporting terrorism within Pakistan, stating that India’s political leadership has openly admitted to backing terrorist activities on multiple occasions. He named India’s National Security Advisor, Ajit Doval, as the key architect behind this cross-border terrorism, and revealed that countries like the United States and Canada have acknowledged Indian state-sponsored terrorism.

Lt Gen Sharif further warned of India’s organized efforts to destabilize Pakistan, particularly in Balochistan, through funding, planning, and executing terrorist operations. He declared these actions part of a state policy adopted by India, aimed at weakening Pakistan’s internal security and sovereignty.

Referring to religious extremism, he clarified that in Islam, only the state holds the authority to declare Jihad or armed conflict—not individuals, groups, or organizations. He described rogue groups using Islam for militancy as Khawarij (deviants), with “Fitna-e-Hindustan” being a term for Indian-backed militants, especially those operating in Balochistan.

Khawarij is a term now widely used by the military and national media for armed groups attacking the state and its forces,” he said, emphasizing that such groups have no link with Islam, humanity, or the values of the Pakistani nation.
