ISLAMABAD: Senior officers of the Islamabad Police made rounds of various checkpoints across the city on Wednesday, distributing cold beverages and expressing appreciation for the personnel serving in extreme heat.

Following special instructions from Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, DIGs, SSPs, and SPs personally visited several checkpoints to boost the morale of the officers on duty. They acknowledged the dedication and resilience of field staff who continue to protect the city despite the harsh summer conditions.

In a compassionate initiative led by IGP Rizvi, cold drinks and refreshments are being distributed daily to officers posted in the field, offering relief from the scorching heat while maintaining their energy and focus.

Speaking at the occasion, senior officers hailed the checkpoint staff as heroes, stating, “The officers braving the intense heat to safeguard the lives and properties of citizens are our true heroes. Their unwavering dedication is admirable.”

They reaffirmed that no amount of sunlight, heat, or seasonal adversity can deter the determination and spirit of Islamabad Police. “Harsh weather is not an obstacle but a test of our commitment — and Islamabad Police is passing that test with flying colors,” one official remarked.

The initiative aims not only to provide physical relief but also to recognize the mental and emotional strength of the force. Senior officers used the opportunity to personally motivate and encourage their colleagues, reinforcing a culture of unity, resilience, and service.
