Islamabad, June 3, 2025 — In a decisive move to reinforce law and order in the federal capital, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi chaired a high-level meeting at the Central Police Office. The session was attended by senior officials including DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq, SSP Operations, SSP Investigations, and zonal SPs.

IGP Rizvi evaluated the performance of all senior officers and reviewed the existing strategies against crime. Emphasizing the use of modern technology and intelligence sharing, he instructed officers to enhance coordination and ensure swift action against criminal elements.

He highlighted the urgency of clearing pending investigations on merit and called for submission of solid evidence in courts to secure maximum convictions. Special focus was placed on tracking and arresting absconding gang members and proclaimed offenders.

The safety of Islamabad’s citizens and their property is our highest priority,” the IGP asserted, warning that any negligence will not be tolerated.

As the city prepares for Eid-ul-Adha, IGP Rizvi also directed a comprehensive review of security arrangements across cattle markets, commercial zones, and local bazaars. Officers were told to increase patrolling and make it more structured to deter any potential threats.

This meeting reflects IGP Rizvi’s commitment to maintaining peace, combating narcotics, and safeguarding public welfare through dynamic and result-oriented policing.
