Director General ISPR Lt‑Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry has issued a serious warning that India is acting as a regional bully, using transnational terror networks and cross-border killings to prevent Pakistan from realizing its full potential. Speaking in a media briefing, he stated that India’s deployment of terror cells and targeted assassinations is a calculated strategy aimed at destabilizing Pakistan and undermining its economic and security progress.
He referred to these hostile activities as cross-border terrorism involving terror financing, explosive devices, and coordination through sleeper cells, alleging involving individuals within India’s military and intelligence apparatus. Lt. Gen. Chaudhry emphasized that these efforts are designed to keep Pakistan distracted and unable to focus on development and prosperity.
The DG ISPR called on the international community to recognize and condemn this state-sponsored violence, insisting that terrorism cannot be confined within Pakistan’s borders, that it has global implications. He expressed confidence in Pakistan’s nuclear and security infrastructure, stating that no aggressive moves will derail the nation’s sovereign stability.
He concluded with a resolve: Pakistan remains committed to transparent diplomacy and responsible defense, and will continue rooting out these clandestine threats. Acknowledging the gravity of this challenge, he underscored the country’s determination to overcome these incursions and focus on fulfilling its economic and security goals.
