Punjab has taken a historic step in cancer care by introducing coblation treatment at Mayo Hospital Lahore. Patients will be able to receive treatment without surgery or chemotherapy. This modern method uses electrical heat to destroy cancerous tissues. Doctors in Lahore have already treated a breast cancer patient and another patient with a tumour affecting liver blood supply. The machinery for coblation has been imported from China and medical staff have completed their training ahead of the official opening. With this new facility patients in Punjab can expect less pain faster healing and more precision in treatment. The change marks an important shift for cancer patients who often endure invasive procedures or harsh side effects. Coblation offers a non invasive alternative that promises relief to many. The government says this new centre will serve those with cancers such as breast liver and lung types more safely. It is seen as part of a larger effort to modernize healthcare in the province and improve outcomes for patients in serious conditions.
