Quetta Gladiators Bolstered by Rilee Rossouw’s Return for PSL 10 Playoffs
LAHORE: The Quetta Gladiators have been significantly strengthened by the return of Rilee Rossouw, just in time for their crucial Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10 Qualifier 1 match. They are set to face the reigning champions, Islamabad United, at Gaddafi Stadium on Wednesday.
The former captain of the Gladiators has officially rejoined the team before this important playoff game.
The franchise communicated his arrival via a social media update, stating, “The most awaited arrival 🙌 Rilee Rossouw joins #PurpleForce just in time to power Gladiators’ playoffs push.”
Rossouw has demonstrated impressive form this season, accumulating 234 runs across nine matches. His average stands at 39.00, complemented by a striking strike rate of 175.93, highlighting his value in the team’s batting lineup.
Under the leadership of Saud Shakeel, Quetta Gladiators concluded the league stage at the top of the PSL 10 standings. They secured seven victories, suffered two defeats, and encountered one match affected by rain in their total of ten games.
Hassan Nawaz, a young middle-order batsman, leads the team in scoring with 317 runs in 10 matches, boasting an average of 63.40 and a strike rate of 159.29. His performance includes two half-centuries and one century.
On the bowling side, Abrar Ahmed, a mystery spinner, has distinguished himself by taking 15 wickets in 10 matches. He maintains an average of 18.20 and an economy rate of 7.47, positioning him as the second-highest wicket-taker in the tournament.
