Manchester United to Assess Yoro, Zirkzee, and Dalot’s Fitness
Manchester United has been encouraged as Leny Yoro, Diogo Dalot, and Joshua Zirkzee participated in training on Tuesday, ahead of their Europa League final encounter with Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday.
The three players trained with the entire team at Carrington during the morning session as they continue to prepare for the anticipated match in Bilbao.
Yoro had been out of action since suffering a foot injury in the match against West Ham on May 11, which prevented him from participating in the 1-0 loss to Chelsea on Friday. In the meantime, Zirkzee and Dalot have been absent for a longer period.
Zirkzee has been absent for the past eight games due to a hamstring injury sustained during the match against Newcastle on April 13.
Dalot, who is recovering from a calf injury, has not played in seven games, with his last appearance coming against Lyon in the second leg of the Europa League quarterfinal.
Manchester United will be carefully evaluating the fitness levels of Yoro, Zirkzee, and Dalot before deciding whether to include them in the final against Spurs.
In contrast, Matthijs de Ligt is likely to be unavailable for the final after he did not participate in Tuesday’s training session.
Since sustaining a knee injury in the 4-3 loss to Brentford on May 4, the defender has been sidelined and was observed training apart from the rest of the squad.
United earned their place in the Europa League final with a remarkable 7-1 aggregate victory over Athletic Bilbao in the semi-final.
Tottenham Hotspur secured their spot in the final following a 5-1 aggregate victory against Bodø/Glimt.
