Grealish’s Future at Manchester City in Question
Speculation surrounds Jack Grealish’s future with Manchester City as his playing time has decreased this season. Manager Pep Guardiola has stated that a decision regarding Grealish’s future will be made at the conclusion of the current season.
Grealish, who joined the club for £100 million four years ago, has seen his appearances diminish, leading to rumors about a potential transfer.
The England international has only started seven games for Manchester City this season and was notably absent from the FA Cup final lineup against Crystal Palace.
Guardiola clarified that discussions involving club officials and Grealish’s representatives are planned, with a final decision to be reached after the season ends.
Manager’s Comments
“We haven’t spoken directly. These matters are handled by the agents, the club, Txiki, and Hugo. They will collectively decide,” Guardiola commented.
“Whatever happens, will happen, but first he needs to regain his playing time.”
He acknowledged Grealish’s dissatisfaction with his limited playtime, but also emphasized the importance of moving forward.
“It’s not just about Jack. No player in any locker room is content when they aren’t playing,” Guardiola added.
“When the team is successful, they understand the situation, but they still want to play. Their dissatisfaction is normal in any club.”
Manchester City has two remaining Premier League matches this season, against Bournemouth on Wednesday and Fulham on Sunday.
