Karachi Kings Add George Munsey to Squad for PSL 10

Karachi Kings have reinforced their team for the remaining HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10 matches by securing the services of Scotland’s explosive opening batsman, George Munsey. The announcement was made via the franchise’s official social media channels on Thursday.

The announcement post highlighted the addition of the “prolific” left-handed batter, stating: “Scotland’s dynamic left-handed opener George Munsey joins #KingsSquad.”

This will be the first PSL experience for the 32-year-old Munsey.

Munsey has a wealth of experience in the T20 format, having participated in different leagues globally, such as the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), International League T20 (ILT20), and England’s Vitality Blast.

In a slight error, the announcement initially described Munsey as a right-handed batter, despite his natural left-handedness.

Munsey is a seasoned T20I player for Scotland, currently holding the position of second-highest run-scorer for his national side in this format.

Across 74 T20 Internationals, he has accumulated 2,078 runs, maintaining an average of 31.01 and an impressive strike rate of 144.20. His record includes 11 half-centuries and two centuries.

Revised PSL 10 Schedule

Separately, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) unveiled the highly anticipated schedule for the rest of PSL 10 on Tuesday.

The league’s resumption is scheduled for May 17, with Karachi Kings facing Peshawar Zalmi at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

The venue will stage a double-header on May 19, beginning with Quetta Gladiators against Multan Sultans in the afternoon, followed by Peshawar Zalmi against Lahore Qalandars in the evening.

Rawalpindi’s final match will occur on May 19, featuring a clash between defending champions Islamabad United and Karachi Kings.

The action will then shift to Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium, which is set to host the Qualifier on May 21, Eliminator 1 on May 22, and Eliminator 2 on May 23.

The PSL 10 grand final is slated to take place at the same venue on May 25.
