Pakistan Asserts Conventional Deterrence Against India

Pakistan stated on Thursday that its existing military capabilities are sufficient to deter India, negating the need for what it described as India’s self-imposed “nuclear blackmail.”

This declaration follows remarks made by Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, who suggested that Pakistan’s nuclear weapons be placed under the supervision of the UN’s nuclear regulatory body.

Foreign Office spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan issued a statement, saying, “These imprudent comments highlight his deep-seated unease and disappointment regarding Pakistan’s robust defence and deterrent measures against potential Indian aggression through traditional means.”

This is a developing story; further details will be added as they become available.
