Dwarshuis Returns to Islamabad United for PSL 10

Australian fast bowler Ben Dwarshuis is poised to rejoin Islamabad United, the current champions, for the remainder of the upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10. The competition is scheduled to kick off on Saturday.

The tournament, which faced a brief suspension the previous week due to escalating tensions across the border with India, is now set to recommence on May 17. Karachi Kings will face off against Peshawar Zalmi at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

Dwarshuis was picked up by Islamabad United in the Gold category during the PSL 10 draft. This year marked his inaugural appearance in the league, where he has claimed four wickets in five games thus far.

Islamabad United announced in a press statement: “We are thrilled to confirm that Australian all-rounder Ben Dwarshuis will be coming back to Pakistan for the rest of HBL PSL X.”

“A familiar face, Ben’s return brings additional strength and stability to the Pakistan Super League’s stellar lineup. We are eager to welcome him back.”

Prior to Dwarshuis, South Africa’s Rassie van der Dussen and England’s Alex Hales had already verified their return to Islamabad United for the remaining matches.

Rawalpindi is slated to host three matches, including a double-header on Sunday, May 18. The afternoon match will feature Quetta Gladiators against Multan Sultans, with Peshawar Zalmi taking on Lahore Qalandars in the evening.

The final game at this venue will see Islamabad United, the defending champions, compete against Karachi Kings on May 19.

Following this, the tournament will relocate to Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium for the final stages of the competition.

The Qualifier, Eliminator 1, and Eliminator 2 are slated for May 21, 22, and 23, respectively, culminating in the grand final on May 25.
