Islamabad, May 2025 Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, emphasized the vital role of technology in enhancing public service delivery and maintaining law and order during a high-level meeting held at the Central Police Office, Islamabad.
The meeting was convened to review the overall security situation and law enforcement preparedness across the capital. It was attended by DG Safe City Islamabad, Shakir Hussain Dawar, and AIG Operations, Muhammad Arsalan Shahzaib, among other senior officers.
During the session, the IGP held a detailed discussion on the deployment of modern technology to streamline police operations and improve citizen services. He underscored that adopting digital tools is key to ensuring transparency, responsiveness, and efficiency in policing.
IGP Rizvi issued clear directives to enhance coordination among all police divisions to ensure a unified approach to crime prevention, public safety, and the protection of both public and private property.
“All available resources must be fully utilized to safeguard the lives and property of our citizens,” he said. “Effective use of modern techniques and inter-agency cooperation will be essential in achieving our objectives.”
The IGP further reiterated that the Islamabad Police is committed to fostering a safe and secure environment by prioritizing peacekeeping, crime reduction, and citizen facilitation. He instructed officers to implement proactive strategies and ensure the public has access to efficient, technology-driven services.
The meeting concluded with a reaffirmation of the department’s dedication to reform, digital innovation, and performance-driven policing to meet the evolving security needs of the federal capital.
