In a historic step toward improving services for the diplomatic community, Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, along with Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, inaugurated the state-of-the-art “Cascade” Service Center in Islamabad’s Diplomatic Enclave.

This first-of-its-kind facility is tailored to meet the administrative and safety needs of foreign diplomats and international citizens, offering streamlined access to over 12 essential public services.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Secretary Interior Mohammad Khurram Agha, senior Islamabad Police officials, diplomats, and foreign nationals residing in the enclave.

“The Cascade Center reflects our unwavering commitment to providing world-class services and security to the international community,” stated Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi.

Revolutionizing Public Service Access for Diplomats

The Cascade Service Center brings together a wide array of services under one roof, including:

  • Issuance & renewal of driving licenses
  • Character certificates and police verification
  • FIR copies and missing person reports
  • Vehicle verification
  • Tenant registration
  • Registration of foreigners, domestic staff, and volunteers

This centralized system simplifies bureaucratic processes and ensures a secure, time-efficient experience for diplomatic personnel.

IGP Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi: A Visionary Behind the Initiative

The successful execution of this groundbreaking project owes much to the vision and leadership of IGP Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi. Known for his strategic mindset and dedication to public service innovation, IGP Rizvi has played a pivotal role in aligning Islamabad Police with global standards of service and professionalism.

“Under IGP Rizvi’s leadership, the Islamabad Police has transformed into a model of efficient, citizen-focused policing,” noted a senior official during the ceremony.

His proactive reforms, focus on international cooperation, and hands-on approach have helped establish trust between law enforcement and the diplomatic corps.

Strengthening Diplomatic-Police Relations

Interior Minister Naqvi highlighted that the initiative aligns with the Prime Minister’s vision for inclusive governance and efficient service delivery. He noted that the Cascade Center not only enhances service accessibility but also strengthens the relationship between diplomats and law enforcement agencies.

To maintain a high level of security in the enclave, over 1,500 police and FC personnel are actively deployed, supported by 20 patrol vehicles.

Diplomatic Reception and Tour of Facilities

Following the inauguration, Minister Naqvi and IGP Rizvi toured the facility with diplomats, inspecting service counters and operational processes. Foreign dignitaries received a comprehensive briefing from IGP Rizvi and expressed deep gratitude for the convenience and professionalism extended through this initiative.
