BCB Plans for Swift Return of Players from PSL

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is arranging for the prompt return of fast bowler Nahid Rana and spinner Rishad Hossain, who are currently participating in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10. This decision arises from the unsettling circumstances prevailing in the region.

Bangladeshi media sources indicate that the players are expected to return to Bangladesh immediately upon the reopening of Pakistani airspace. Another source suggests that should an opportunity arise sooner, the BCB stands ready to facilitate their expedited departure.

The BCB has also communicated that it is maintaining close communication with both players, the Pakistan Cricket Board, and the Bangladesh High Commission in Islamabad.

“The BCB is collaborating with the appropriate entities to guarantee that all essential measures are in place to support the players’ eventual departure from Pakistan in a safe and timely manner,” the BCB stated in a press release.

This development follows the PCB’s announcement to relocate the remaining PSL 10 matches to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), citing rising regional tensions.

“The PCB confirms the relocation of the remaining HBL PSL X fixtures to the UAE,” the cricket board announced in a statement.

“The detailed match schedule, specifying dates and venues, will be released shortly,” the statement continued.

Consequently, arrangements have been made for a dedicated flight to transport international players and officials from Islamabad to Dubai.

The departure will occur in two phases: first, the overseas players will depart, followed by the local players.
