Gold Prices Fall in Pakistan Amid Global Downtrend
Gold prices in Pakistan experienced a decrease on Friday, mirroring the slide observed in the international market. The price of gold per tola in the local market settled at Rs344,500, representing a reduction of Rs1,300.
The All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA) reported that the price of 10-gram gold also decreased, reaching Rs295,353 after a decline of Rs1,114.
Earlier on Wednesday, the price per tola had fallen by Rs3,400, settling at Rs345,800.
The bullion market was closed on Thursday for the Labour Day public holiday.
Internationally, gold rates also saw a dip on Friday. According to APGJSA, the international rate stood at $3,263 per ounce (including a $20 premium), which is $13 lower than the previous day.
Meanwhile, the price of silver per tola remained stable in Pakistan at Rs3,427.
