Wolf Pups Recovered in Balochistan Operation

The Balochistan Forest and Wildlife Department reported the successful recovery of five wolf pups during an operation in the Kakar Khorasan vicinity of Zhob. This was announced on Friday by Chief Conservator of Wildlife, Sharifuddin Baloch.

According to the chief conservator, local Levies and police officers were also involved in the rescue mission.

Sharifuddin clarified that the wolf species saved is identified as the “grey wolf.” He voiced concern that the existing population of grey wolves in Balochistan is dangerously close to extinction.

“The grey wolf is a unique species, and its presence is dwindling within the province,” he emphasized.

The wildlife official added that the wolf pups will receive appropriate nurturing and rehabilitation before being reintroduced into their native environment.
