JOHANNESBURG: Pakistan has announced a single change to their playing XI for the third T20I against South Africa, scheduled for December 14 at The Wanderers Stadium. Salman Ali Agha has been brought in to replace Usman Khan.

The revised playing XI will feature Mohammad Rizwan as captain, alongside Saim Ayub, Babar Azam, Salman Ali Agha, Tayyab Tahir, Muhammad Irfan Khan, Mohammad Abbas Afridi, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf, Abrar Ahmed, and Jahandad Khan.

Pakistan’s Mission to Avoid Whitewash

With the series already in South Africa’s favor at 2-0, Pakistan is aiming to avoid a whitewash in the three-match series. The third T20I comes after a devastating loss in the second match, where Reeza Hendricks played a pivotal role in clinching the series for the Proteas.

Hendricks’ Century Guides South Africa to Victory

In the second T20I at SuperSport Park, Centurion, Reeza Hendricks blasted his maiden T20I century, scoring 117 runs off 63 balls, including 7 fours and 10 sixes. Hendricks, alongside Rassie van der Dussen (66 not out), formed a match-winning 157-run partnership for the third wicket, guiding South Africa to a seven-wicket victory, chasing down a daunting target of 207 runs with three balls to spare.

Pakistan Looks to Bounce Back

Pakistan, led by Mohammad Rizwan, will need to regroup quickly and find ways to challenge the in-form South African side as they prepare for the final match of the series.
